Thermal Imaging Services Limited was registered with the New Zealand company’s office in November 1998, which makes this our 20th year proving infrared solutions
Background
In early 1998 it was recognised that there was a requirement for Infrared Thermography within the New Zealand Industrial Sector. Research indicated that the requirement for the service overseas was increasing, being driven by Risk/Loss Insurance and the need to change from Preventive Maintenance Procedures to the more efficient and cost effective Predictive Maintenance Procedures and Condition Monitoring.
Of significant importance was that the trained operators of the Infrared Equipment must be qualified engineers, understand the operation of the equipment being surveyed and therefore be able to interpret what are normal or abnormal working conditions. This is essential to providing the client with meaningful information in the report.
All of our staff are qualified Electrical and or Mechanical Engineers and each has an impressive background of experience in a wide diversity of Engineering Applications. Thermal Imaging Services now boast a Level 3 ITC Certified Thermographer who oversees all inspections and ensures we continually strive to build upon the service we provide, and allows for new and innovative ideas to come forth and assist our clients in getting the most information out of their critical equipment.
In addition to ongoing training and development TIS regularly attends conferences and conventions with the aim of furthering our understanding of the world in infrared as well as new ideas and applications for providing our service. We have also attended conferences in a presentation capacity in order to provide inside industry knowledge to our key clients to help them understand what thermal imaging can do for their business.
There is an emphasis on personal relationships thereby obtaining an in-depth knowledge of the client’s requirements and providing them with a consistent quality of meaningful information and service.
